Midwest Account Manager

Sales — Remote

Position Summary:

A salesperson that is keen on business development and expansion and focused on farm feed, managing pet distributors and Independent retailers that are based in the Midwest. Possess verifiable leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills key to building relationships with our retail partners. Develop strategic plan for the assigned territory, communicate expectations to Sales Reps, and review actual versus targets monthly and align action plan throughout territory. Demonstrate expertise in selling/negotiating and managing complex customer situations and problem solving.

Reports To: VP of Sales

Essential Functions:

  • Networking within national and regional accounts in order to secure business opportunities
  • Attending and representing Worldwise at regional and national tradeshows
  • Review details of customer profitability and take action to increase
  • Ensuring internal company functions give the highest level of Customer Service to accounts
  • Leading monthly meetings with Sales Reps around key accounts
  • Holding business reviews to assess opportunities for sales

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of key account management experience
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office required
  • Ability to travel, including up to 30% overnight stays
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in Pet Space (CPG for Pet)
  • Strong analytical skills and basic understanding of business and business terminology
  • Excellent time management, planning skills, and managing budgets
