Qualifications:
- Jointly with Senior Planning and Inventory Manager develops planning and production schedules for components and finished goods for Worldwise Inc. product lines specifically Kitty Sift, and goDog and Trusty Pup dog toys.
- Manages production plans and buys from Asia, Mexico, and US sourced materials and finished goods using planning methods such as make to order, make to stock or make to forecast.
- Coordinates with Product Development, Inventory, Finance, and suppliers to ensure on-time, cost-efficient delivery of goods.
- Collaborates with Product Development, Sales, Inventory, Creative Services, Demand Planning and Finance teams to ensure that seasonal and program changes are implemented in a controlled manner.
- Works together with Sales, Product Development, Quality, and Planning Teams on launching existing and new products in global markets.
- Communicates with Worldwise HK office and McAllen, TX team resolving any manufacturing and production issues (e.g. material shortages, production delays and other potential delays).
- Leads weekly planning meetings with WW McAllen manufacturing team that includes representatives from Costing, Production, Purchasing, Scheduling and Quality.
- Leads semi-monthly Planning meetings that includes representatives from Product Development, Demand Planning, and Quality assurance.
- Manage re-working inventory and transfers for product categories.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required.
Experience & Skills Required:
- 1-3 years of consumer goods Material Management and Production Planning experience
- Familiar with materials management techniques, e.g. BOM, MRP, EDI, Capacity Planning
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong math skills are a must
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, be open to suggestions and able to collaborate with others to solve problems and offer solutions
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to complete work assignments based on broad directions with minimal supervision.
- Advanced experience in using MS Excel
